Daytoner’s last few visits to the ward have all been about new music released by the band, but this time around, leader of the pack Moss Daytoner takes things back to where it all began with a return to his much-loved ‘Shedits’ EP series, this time with 5 tracks embracing red hot Latin influences on volume 4.
The sensational ‘Salsational’ is where we begin on volume 4 and if you love your Breakbeats fresh, funky and crammed full of brass, you’ve got to get involved with this cool cat of a tune. Next up is a 2019 re-master of Moss’ popular edit of Joe Cuba‘s classic ‘Bang Bang’ that’ll definitely create plenty of hip action on the dancefloor. The highly percussive ‘Ye Mele’ follows and here we have another smouldering dancefloor heater that will have you wishing you’d sharpened up your Salsa moves. Tempering much of the heat that has been laid down before, we find ourselves with the cool groove of ‘Comanche’ and to finish ‘Bebo’s Beat’ hits us with one last blast of Latin flavoured brass and beats. Moss’ Shedits’ EP’s don’t come around that often, but it’s clear that they’re well worth the wait when they do!
