If you’re a lover of hip-hop, there’s a very good chance you’re going to love this classy two-track EP from Canadian duo Dragon Fli Empire that’s available digitally and on 7″ vinyl on Ill Adrenaline Records.
The first track Record Store sees the guys pay homage to the bricks and mortar that kept the fingers of crate diggers dusty while sifting for the gems. Teekay teams up with veteran emcee J-Live and they provide feel-good vibes over a cool and smooth bossa-nova influenced backdrop. The second track Fli Beat Patrol this time sees the duo team up with their good friend Djar One and together they cook up a funky Hip Hop jam that this time pays homage to the architects of hip-hop as we’re taken through the culture’s roots in funk and soul.
