If you’re a fan of Simon Shackleton’s alias Elite Force, it’s time to get excited because he announced a few weeks back that he has made three brand new Elite Force tracks that he’s planning to release at two monthly intervals on his U&A imprint. The date of the first track to be released isn’t set in stone just yet, but we’ll be on it as soon as it is. I’ve been lucky enough to have had a sneak preview of one of the tracks and as I said before, it’s time to get excited Elite Force fans because the groove is back in Breakbeat!
As well as there being new music on the horizon, Simon has also been uploading a number of tracks and mixes from way back and many of them are hitting Soundcloud for the very first time. There’s music from various aliases Simon took on over the years, but we’ve picked out this Elite Force mix from 2000. It was only ever handed out to those attending gigs where he was playing, so there’s a very good chance you’ll not have heard this set before. As you might expect from the date of the mix, there’s classic Breaks tracks from start to finish. While we wait for the new music to come our way, this mix and the other uploaded tracks will fill the void perfectly. Be sure to check them out!
