Paul & Shark present FREETIME 003, a celebration of rave in its many forms!
‘Hyperparadiso’ kicks things off with uplifting organs, breaks and chunky kicks. A melodic flute plays through the track underpinned by a nice phat bassline in true 90s style. ‘Selectavision’ opens with deep, melodic Euro Rave strings before slipping into a funky fusion of Sheffield style Bleep Techno and early UK Breakbeat Hardcore complete with Landlord riffs.
‘Yes 2 Bucket Hats’ is the LSM pick, a happy rave anthem at the 130BPM mark that evokes all that was and is good about the golden era of raving! There is a really cool drop with Rap vox and Jungle style breaks and plenty of uplifting sounds to get blissfully happy to! Chrissy remixes ‘Yes 2 Bucket Hats’ toughening up the breaks and the subs while placing strong emphasis on the organ riff. Yes to this great EP!
