Furious Mandrill Records welcomes back The Funk District after he dropped the first-ever EP to be released by the imprint just under a year ago. Just like his debut ‘Afrodiskosis Pt. 1’ EP, his brand new ‘Disconstructed’ EP is brimming with quality music of the Disco kind that’ll have you dreaming about all of the summer parties and plans that lie ahead.
Kicking things off we have the coolest cat on the EP ‘Stuck On The Line’ that brings a sun-kissed vibe, jazzy piano, and a heady Disco groove that will suit an early evening soiree down to the ground. Cranking up the tempo we find ourselves with the chopped, looped and organ-lead floor-filler ‘Melas’ that’s swiftly followed by the intense heat and intoxicating vibe of the tropical-flavoured ‘The Horn’ feat. Sokur. ‘Abstract Love’ is our final track and even though it posses a warming and luscious feel, it is the most uptempo track on the EP and you’ll soon find your feet tapping and your shoulders swaying while you imagine yourself letting loose on the dancefloor.
