Green Meadows Festival Promo Mixes – Toy Beats // Gramophone Soul

The very awesome Green Meadows Festival is on the horizon and here with a couple of promo mixes to give us a flavour of how a couple of the stages are going to sound, is Toy Beats and Gramophone Soul.

Toy Beats is a longtime member of the Green Meadows family and for this years festival and the foreseeable future, he has been handed the honour of being the resident DJ for the dance stage. This is great news for anyone in attendance because he is someone who really knows his music and knows how to get a party started. Just have a listen to his promo mix that features Kurnel MC and is packed with all manor of funky goings on in the worlds of Breakbeat, House and D n B and you’ll soon get the gist of just how much the dance tent will be rockin’ when he’s behind the decks.

Gramophone Soul is making his debut at Green Meadows this year and it’s something of a debut for him when it comes to playing out, as he’s spent a whole heap of time on the production side of things, creating absolute must have Funk and Soul edits, a few of which can be found here on LSM. The Funk n Soul theme is what his promo mix is centred around and the high calibre of music that’s found on it will be the kind you can catch him playing at the intimate ‘The Den’ stage at the festival.

Toy Beats and Gramophone Soul are in good company at this years Green Meadows Festival as stepping up behind the decks across the weekend you can expect to catch sets from The Correspondents, Deekline, Mooqee, Shades Of Rhythm vs Drumattic Twins, Seb Fontaine, Utah Saints, Shaka Loves You, Craig Charles, Pimpsoul, Mark Archer (Altern 8), plus many, many more. Should you want to venture away from the more electronic based music and hunt down some bands and solo acoustic guitarists/singers, you can expect to hear music from artists such as The Hoosiers, Neville Staple Band, Mark Morriss (The Bluetones), Dan Donnelly (The Wonderstuff) & Jon Sevink (The Levellers), Martin Carr (The Boo Radleys) and a bunch of upcoming stars performing on the BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire takeover of ‘The Village’ stage

With all that amazing music to be heard, that’s clearly one very good reason to attend Green Meadows and other great reasons include a very family friendly oriented atmosphere (families are more than welcome and children are more than catered for over the whole weekend), a party hungry and friendly crowd of festival goers, very reasonably priced tickest and a beautiful setting that creates the perfect backdrop for the perfect weekend.

Just when you thought you’d had your mix fix, along comes another two mixes from Toy Beats and Gramophone Soul. These mixes were dropped after their festival promo mixes so we thought it’s be rude not to add them in, especially as they’re both a couple of crackers!

Toy Beats ‘Disco Data Vol. 1’ is the first in a series of mixes that’s going to see him dig deep into the world of Disco to unearth some true gems. He will also be playing a Disco set at ‘The Den’ stage at Green Meadows. Gramophone Soul’s mix ‘Soulful Funky Beats Mixtape Vol 2’ is, as you can see, the second volume in his new mix series that sees him handpick stand out tracks that really rock his world from the Funk and Soul scenes.
