Hansi – Funky Grooves Volume 12 (Viking Grooves)

UK based producer Hansi has already given us a stunning selection of must-have re-edits and re-grooves on his Funky Grooves EP series and now volume 12 is here, we have another 4 that will easily take pride of place in your music collections.

Kicking off with a fresh dancefloor focused revamp of Gloria Jones’ 1964 classic Tainted Love, Hansi then cools things down with a velvety smooth spin of Ben E. King’s 1975 Soul groove Supernatural Thing. Following on, we find an intensification of the funky flavour found in James Brown’s 1974 Funk classic My Thang and bringing the EP to a close is a rousing Breaks and brass version of Got Myself A Good Man by Puchos & His Latin Soul Brothers that will get the B-boys and B-girls planning their next moves.

If you’re diggin’ what you’ve heard hear and you’ve not checked out Hansi’s previous 11 volumes, today is one of those good days.

About the Author

: I'm Sid, a dude from Lincolnshire. I'll be bringing you music from the perspective of the dance floor, the place I love to be most! I've no production or DJ experience, but I do know a bloody good tune when I hear one and if I connect with it, I'll share it in the hope you connect with it to. Selection and connection is the name of the game.
