Jason Laidback teams up with SIMM and Valerie M on his recent two-track Breakbeat release on Hot Cakes and gives us a couple of future Breakbeat classics with one, in particular, being one of those tracks every raver from every corner of the dance music world must listen to at least once in their lives!
“Together Again” is the track you’ve got to go and tell all your friends about because it is by far and away one of the most uplifting pieces of music of any genre that you’re ever likely to hear! Although a highly polished track, it’s one that just seems to encapsulate the raw essence of what it felt like to be on a dancefloor in the ’90s. Rife with old skool influences, the Acid-tinged Breakbeat-roller also features the incredibly lush vocal of SIMM and her delivery of her on-point lyrics takes the euphoric feel of the track to a whole new level. Listen, like and love forever!
Whilst a whole heap of praise will rain down on “Together Again”, we should in no way forget about the second track on this release “Soundsystem” feat. Valerie M. With all the hands-in-the-air moments that just went before, “Soundsystem” is an after-hours, heads-down bassline rocker that’ll have the room 2 walls quaking with the party faithful skankin’ this one out!
