Linear Curb – The Kingsly EP

At the end of a long day, the warm, gentle sounds of Linear Curb ‘The Kingsly’ EP are perfect to unwind to.

The title track serves as a haunting opener to this EP, sounding similiar in some places to Johnny Jewel ‘Windswept.’ A cinematic slow jam to warm up the ears.

‘I’ve Never Been; is early morning shoegazing on anm empty beach, warm, tropical, mellow with a hint of sweet sadness hidden in the low slung beats and and sun kissed ambience.

‘Hole In The Skye’ continues the theme of the previous track, this time, staring at the night sky in dreamy, reflective mode played out by twisted soul and astral keys.

‘Beneath The Surface’ is the subtle, beat driven journey home with a sense of longing embedded into every piano note and wistful vocal, awash with deep brooding bass.

‘Fortania’ is the perfect epilogue to this pristine beat selection with more ‘windswept’ horns and harmonious electronic blues. A farewell with a tinge of separation pangs and a lot of sublime beauty.
