Moondog – Bird’s Lament – Miss Disco Edit

After entertaining party-goers in Manchester for a handful of years, Miss Disco packed her bags and hopped on the Disco to train to London where she now resides and makes her music. A recent studio expansion has meant that it’s now full steam ahead for her on the production front and she has already uploaded 6 new edits to her Soundcloud and Bandcamp pages. With the decision of which one to bring you made that bit harder because of them all being damn good, it’s Miss Disco’s suave and sophisticated Jazz-influenced edit of the 1969 track Bird’s Lament by the Viking of 6th Avenue, Moondog, that took my smile to 11. As some of you will already know, Moondog’s original track is the one Mr Scruff sampled on his classic track Get A Move On and because that’s a particular favourite of mine, Miss Disco’s catchy 4/4 led edit has made my day, as it will yours too I’m sure.

From what I’ve heard so far from Miss Disco, it’s safe to say we’ll be hearing quite a bit more of her music here on the ward the future!
