Dj Moar’s ‘supablends’ are his version of a mashup because, well, the blend that takes place is always on the super side of things and taking his Rakim vs Chagrin D’Amour supablend is a great way of proving that point.
Hip Hop legend Rakim should need no introduction to any music to be fair, but the French group Chagrin D’Amour might. They were cited as the ones to have recorded the first-ever Hip Hop album in France back 1982. It’s the title track of that album ‘Chacun fait ce qui lui plait’ that Dj Moar has used as the backdrop to his extremely funky Hip Hop supablend, with Rakim’s acapella lifted from his all-time classic with Eric B ‘I Know You Got Soul’. The result is one that’ll have the pleasure receptors working on overdrive, so be sure to chek it out!
