Sonic Funk Foundry – Reworked Vol.6

Austrian producer Sonic Funk Foundry is another new producer whose Funk heavy music is the kind we highly recommend you check out and when you get round to doing so, you’ll soon realise, like I did, that there’s a lot to get digging through. You’ll also realise how good it all is too and how much it covers all angles of the Funk spectrum.

My immediate investigation into the music of Sonic Funk Foundry resulted in me listening to the latest volume of his ‘Reworked’ series. The series as a whole is packed with edits, re-edits, and remixes of some classic Funk gems from back in the day. The three tracks that feature on volume 6 come in the form of an uptempo, foot shuffling re-edit of The JB’s ‘Funky People’, a super smooth and classy remix of Eddie Harris’ ‘Get On Down’ and an edit that’s seen him pump up the Funk on Ronnie Foster’s ‘On The Avenue’.

As already mentioned, there’s plenty more where this has come from, so once you’ve had your full fix of this EP, get diggin’ and get your Funk folders bulging with quality music from Sonic Funk Foundry.
