Swiss duo The Niceguys, absolutely blew our minds with the quality of the music on their last EP ‘King Of The Street’ on Westwood Recordings and that quality is once again delivered by the bucket load on their new 2 track EP ‘Hacienda Funk’ which is out now on Bombstrikes. The guys’ forward-thinking approach to Funk has landed them a stack of top 10 releases already and you can bet the music on offer here will most definitely hit those heights once more.
‘That Ass’ is our opener and if this funky sucker doesn’t make you want to get your strut on like you own the whole damn world, then I don’t know what will. Spacey guitar riffs are met with chunky beats, a blast of sax and the most addictive groove. The second of these two tracks is ‘Valley Hacienda’ and this brass heavy beauty brings a Latin flavour that wouldn’t sound out of place bringing the party to life on a sun-kissed terrace party somewhere where it’s nice and hot.
