Tuxedo Junction – Swing, Shaken Not Stirred EP

Tuxedo Junction is the newly formed pairing of seasoned party professionals Father Funk and Bear Twists. They’ve joined forces with the intention to shake up the Electro Swing world and there’s no doubts whatsoever that they’re mission is well underway with their blisteringly good debut EP ‘Swing, Shaken Not Stirred’.

Fans of Father Funk and Bear Twists already know that they make tracks that are powered by eye shaking bass and the fattest of beats and now with a dash of Swing and Jazz added in to the mix, there’s a real sharpness and zing to already larger than life sounds.

The five track EP begins with a couple of real rip-snorting dance floor weapons ‘Nigels Greasy Sack’ and ‘Bermuda Blues’ that will soon knock you sideways if you’re not on guard thanks to their sheer power. ‘Stompin’ is the third track and what a cool customer this one is with it’s suave and sophisticated swagger. Next up is a collaboration between themselves and Captain Flatcap and just when you thought things were cooling down on the EP, along comes ‘Past Last Orders’ which is an insane slab of Glitch Hop that really fires things up once again. For the final track, the guys are this time teaming up with C@ In The H@ on ‘Lester The Cat’ for a Swing driven Drum n Bass tune that has been specially created for all the movers and shakers out there. Catch all the tracks on the ever reliable Ragtime Records.

We’re very much looking forward to hearing more from this duo and we’re sure you will be too after you’ve experienced what they have to offer.
