Vintage Video Games #3: Lemmings 2 – The Tribes

Big hats off to anyone that has completed this with all your critters with out a walkthrough! Fiendishly addictive, most gamers around a certain age are bound to have played one of the Lemmings games. This 1993 hit by Psygnosis had several changes from it’s predecessor,  with loads more skills added and a total of 120 levels (10 for each tribe). There are a total of 12  in the game: Classic, Circus, Cavelem, Shadow, Space, Outdoor, Beach, Sports, Egyptian, Highland, Polar and Medieval

The Plot: Once upon a time, the lemmings lived in peace and contentment but all is not well. An ancient prophecy foretells a great darkness soon to cover the island and the only way for them to survive was for them to abandon their home using the power of the Lemming Talisman. Divided into the aforementioned 12 pieces, all lemmings must now reach the center point of their island in order to escape their doom.

Highlights: The satisfaction of getting awarded a gold Talisman for rescuing all your tribe successfully or the pure amusement of pressing the nuke button and seeing your lemmings explode everywhere!

How To Play:  To play you will need an emulator and a ROM. Available on a few platforms, I have chosen the SNES:
