After remixing stone cold classics like Human Resource ‘Dominator’ to devestating effect, Wax Worx once delves into the hardcore history of early 90s rave with the ‘Sound Champion’ EP on 43 Degrees Records.
The title track to this essential EP pays tribute to proto hardcore anthem ‘Champion Sound’ by The Scientist (DJ Hype) with bumpy kicks, penetrating subs and ravey technotic stabs.
‘Warehouse Kids’ is a playful number with a bouncing Techno esque lead hook. On the remix, Hoten straps on some tasty clicks, bleeps and dirty Dutch basslines. To quote the legendary Carl Cox: “Oh yes! Oh yes!”
