X-Ray Tedit’s Catchup – The Mexican / Peace and Love / You Did It

Back in November of 2020, X-Ray Ted announced he’d be releasing 4 exclusive edits over a 2 week period and because I only got round to posting the first one of George Benson’s – Give Me The Night, here are the remaining three ‘Tedits’ for your listening pleasure.

The first of three remaining edits just so happens to be my favourite of the bunch, because X-Ray Ted has applied body-poppin’ Breakbeats and a rib-ticklin’ bassline to one of my all-time favourite tracks in the world ever, The Mexican by Babe Ruth! Next, we take a considerable gear change and head towards the downtempo end of the musical scale with an incredibly smooth, sensual and low-slung Funk makeover of Janette Sewell’s gorgeous Peace and Love. The final track of the series sees us dealt with the bump and groove of another fine funky Breaks workout as he this time takes on Ann Robinson’s brass-toting classic You Did It.

It may have taken a while to get all of X-Ray Ted’s remaining ‘Tedits’ here and all in one place, but we’re sure that if you missed them the first time around, you’ll more than appreciate the goodies on offer.
